Sapphire Electrical Observation Window

Sapphire glass is an artificially synthesized material, mainly composed of aluminum oxide (Al ₂ O3). Its chemical composition and physical properties are the same as natural sapphire, but the internal microstructure varies due to different synthesis methods. ‌

It has the following main characteristics:

1. Extremely high hardness:The Mohs hardness reaches 9, second only to diamond (hardness of 10), which makes it highly wear-resistant and scratch resistant, effectively protecting watch mirrors or electronic device screens from daily scratches. ‌

2. Excellent transparency:Aluminum oxide with a purity of up to 99.99% and a light transmittance of about 80% ensures clear visual effects. ‌

Good high temperature resistance and chemical stability: melting point up to 2045 ℃, high temperature resistance, chemical corrosion resistance, suitable for extreme environments. ‌

3. Excellent mechanical performance:The fracture toughness value is about 2.3MPa √ m, which is three to four times that of ordinary glass and has strong impact resistance. ‌

Other characteristics: having goodThermal conductivity (easier to dissipate heat)Due to its electrical insulation and infrared transmission properties, it is widely used in optical components, infrared military equipment (such as night vision devices, satellite windows), high-power lasers, electrical observation windows, and other fields. ‌

Among them, in the electrical observation window, sapphire glass has better quality and is more durable than ordinary glass and quartz glass. Sapphire watches have higher hardness, better transparency, better thermal conductivity, and high temperature resistance, making them more suitable for use in high-temperature environments such as electrical appliances.
